Sekolah Adat

Tahak Village, Borneo

Sekolah Adat Arus Kualan is a nonformal school that serves as a vital bridge between the younger generation and their indigenous elders, facilitating a profound exploration into the rich tapestry of Dayak culture. Through this connection, youth gain invaluable insights into the traditions, wisdom, and heritage of their indigenous roots, while also imbibing a deep understanding of the significance of forests within their cultural context. Additionally, the school's endeavors extend to the establishment of a dedicated tree nursery, meticulously nurturing a diverse array of endemic and vulnerable tree species. This holistic approach nurtures both cultural appreciation and environmental stewardship among the youth, fostering a harmonious relationship between the indigenous community and the natural world.
